Fudan University, located in Shanghai, a municipality directly under the Central Government, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and a university directly under the joint construction of the Ministry of Education and Shanghai. It is a national "985 Project" and "21Project" construction university, and it has been selected into the A-class list of "double-class" construction universities, "Everest Plan", "1/plan" and "20 165438.
By April 2020, the school has four campuses, namely, Handan, LAM Raymond, Zhangjiang and Jiangwan, with a total area of about 2,439,200 square meters and a school building area of 224 1 1 ,000 square meters. There are philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art, etc. 1 1 disciplines, and there are 35 directly affiliated hospitals (departments).
Academic resources of Fudan University:
Fudan University Library, formerly known as the May 5th Reading Room, was officially built in 1922. It consists of a liberal arts museum, a science museum, a medical museum, a Zhangjiang museum, a Jiangwan museum (Lee Shau Kee Library) and an ancient books department (the national key protection unit of ancient books). By the end of 2020, the collection of paper literature resources was about 5.755 million volumes, including 4.527 million volumes in Chinese (including about 370,000 volumes of ancient books in line, including 60,000 rare books, books of the Republic of China 1.22 million volumes, foreign languages 1.22 million volumes, 62 Chinese and foreign language databases/.
In that year, 852 kinds of paper Chinese books, 8,689 kinds of foreign books, 596 kinds of Chinese newspapers and periodicals, and 20 new databases were purchased. Featured collections include ancient books, Republic of China documents, foreign language books, Fudan people's works and various special books.
