Which universities in Hong Kong are good at international finance?
As an Asian financial center, Hong Kong has closer ties and cooperation with the Mainland. Therefore, it is not surprising that finance is one of the popular majors in studying in Hong Kong. The following is a brief introduction to the admission scores and conditions of master of finance majors in six universities in Hong Kong.

The University of Hong Kong

Jia Zhuo's Tips for Studying Abroad: The Master of Finance major of HKU includes four basic courses of CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) examination financial analysis, which effectively broadens students' understanding of quantitative analysis, financial statement analysis, economics and asset evaluation. After these courses, students can better cope with CFA Level 2 exam.

After completing the four basic courses of financial analysis, students can continue to study according to their own interests and career goals, and choose two branches: risk management and financial engineering. There are five courses in the risk management branch and six courses in financial engineering. Students with ability can attend both branches. Plus some optional courses, students have to take 12 courses to complete their studies.

In terms of teachers, teachers come from various educational backgrounds: finance, economy, statistics, mathematics, law, accounting, computer science and other quantitative disciplines.

Enrollment: HKU tends to recruit students with two years of experience in financial institutions, banks and government supervision. Without work experience, students need a strong academic background to hope to be admitted. GPA 3.5+/4, TOEFL 100 or IELTS 7 (not less than 6.5 for each item). Although there is no mandatory requirement to submit GMAT scores, students with high GMAT scores will have a competitive advantage. Two letters of recommendation should be provided. Educational system 1 year, tuition fee of HK$ 222,000 (20 13-20 14 admission), delivered in three phases. Seven outstanding students can get a scholarship of HK$ 40,000 every year. Master of Finance, Chinese University of Hong Kong

Jia Zhuo's Tips for Studying Abroad: The Master of Finance program of the Chinese University of Hong Kong focuses on traditional fields such as corporate financing, investment, financial markets and institutions, international finance, real estate finance, risk management and insurance, mergers and acquisitions and derivative securities.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong enrolled students very early this year. There are seven rounds in one round. The earliest deadline is June 16. The interview will be notified in August and the result will be known in September. The final deadline is 20 13. The interview will be notified in March and the results will be notified at the end of March. So time is tight now, so students who missed the first round should pay attention, and it is best to submit their applications as soon as possible. Admission requirements: Non-business students with solid quantitative analysis skills are also welcome to apply. According to our previous years' experience in studying abroad in Jiazhuo, the GPA should be 3.5+/4, GMAT 680+ or GRE 1380+, IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90+. Need two letters of recommendation. The application fee is 400 Hong Kong dollars. The academic system is one year. Tuition: HK$180,000.

Hong Kong University of Science and Thchnology

Tips for Jia Zhuo to study abroad: HKUST has four finance-related masters, namely, the Master of Science in Financial Analysis Project, the Master of Science in Investment Management Project, the Master of Science in Global Finance and the Master of Science in Financial Mathematics. Among them, financial analysis and investment management are part-time projects, which are suitable for on-the-job people working in Hong Kong. Due to visa reasons, mainland freshmen or working people cannot apply. Global Finance is a full-time project, but applicants are required to have five years' work experience, so mainland freshmen can't apply.

Financial Mathematics is a major of HKUST Mathematics Department. The essence of the major is the so-called financial mathematics (engineering), which is mainly suitable for undergraduates majoring in mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering or financial engineering. We have a cooperative relationship with BNP Paribas. Graduates have good employment prospects, and most of them went to commercial banks, Big Four and investment banks.

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Jia Zhuo's Tips for Studying Abroad: Master of Finance-Master of Finance in Investment Management The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as its name implies, is inclined to the direction of investment management. Unlike the masters of finance from the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the masters of finance from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University do not require applicants to have much work experience. The course includes 80% CFA exam content.

Compulsory courses include: business analytical accounting, financial analytical economics, investment, corporate financial principles, financial quantitative methods and regulatory framework.

Elective courses include derivative securities, financial analysis and valuation, and fixed.
