Shanxi Normal University, referred to as Shanxi Normal University for short, is located in Linfen, the ancient city of Du Yao, one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation. Selected as a provincial key university in Shanxi Province, which is the basic capacity building project and excellent teacher training plan of universities in the central and western regions. Shanxi Normal University was founded in 1958, formerly known as Jinnan Normal University. 1964 was reorganized into Shanxi Normal University, 1984 was renamed as Shanxi Normal University, and 1999 was merged with Shanxi Vocational Normal University and Shanxi Normal University Physical Education Institute (independently compiled). As of September 20 15, the school has three campuses, namely the headquarters (No.Gong Yuan Street 1), the second campus (No.85 Jiefang East Road) and the third campus (No.355 Jiefang East Road). There are more than full-time teachers 1 100, more than 25,000 full-time undergraduates and more than 4,000 graduate students. There are 22 colleges and 58 undergraduate majors.
