West China Normal University, referred to as "West China Normal University", is a full-time provincial-level key normal university organized by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. The school is located in Nanchong, a famous historical and cultural city. It is the first normal university in Sichuan Province and the first batch of authorized units for bachelor's and master's degrees in China. It was selected into the National Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Plan of Sichuan Province, the first batch of colleges and universities in Sichuan Province to train free normal students, and the first "Selected Graduates Base for Excellent College Students in Sichuan Province" in the province. The School of Extended Information consists of 28 secondary colleges, including Education College, College of Literature, School of Journalism and Communication, School of History and Culture, School of Foreign Languages, School of Politics and Administration, School of Management, School of Law, School of Business, School of Marxism, School of Preschool and Primary Education, School of Foreign Languages, School of Mathematics and Information, School of Physics and Space Sciences, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, School of Life Sciences, School of Land and Resources and School of Computer Science.
