Universities directly under the Ministry of Mining include Fuxin Mining Institute (now Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology), Shandong Mining Institute (now Shandong University of Science and Technology), Xi 'an Mining Institute (now Xi 'an University of Science and Technology), Huainan Mining Institute (now Anhui University of Technology) and Xiangtan Mining Institute (now Hunan University of Science and Technology).

1, Fuxin Institute of Mining (now Liaoning University of Engineering Technology)

The main campus of Liaoning University of Engineering Science is located in Fuxin City, Liaoning Province. It is a university jointly established by People's Republic of China (PRC) Emergency Management Department and Liaoning Provincial People's Government.

It is one of the 88 national key universities, one of the universities implementing the national innovation experimental plan for college students, one of the first batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, one of the universities implementing the education and training plan for outstanding engineers of the Ministry of Education, and one of the universities with typical employment experience for graduates of the Ministry of Education.

2. Shandong Institute of Mining (now Shandong University of Science and Technology)

Shandong University of Science and Technology originated from 195 1 No.2 Coal Mine Vocational School in Shandong Mining Area established in Hongshan, Qingdao and Jinan Coal Mine School established in 1956. The two schools developed into Huainan Mining Institute and Shandong Coal Mine Institute respectively. 1963 Huainan Institute of Mining was revoked and merged into Shandong Institute of Coal Mining.

3.Xi Institute of Mining (now Xi 'an University of Science and Technology)

The history of the school can be traced back to the Department of Mining and Metallurgy, School of Engineering, Beiyang University, which was founded in 1895. 1938 moved to the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Northwest Institute of Technology, 1957 merged into Xi Jiaotong University, 1958 independently established Xi 'an Mining Institute from Xi Jiaotong University. It was one of the only two five-year undergraduate colleges under the former Ministry of Coal Industry at that time.

4. Huainan Mining Institute (now Anhui University of Science and Technology)

Founded in 1945, the school has the same roots as Hefei University of Technology and is the first engineering university in Anhui Province. 1955 The school was upgraded from Huainan Institute of Coal Industry to Hefei Institute of Mining.

1956 moved to Hefei, 1958 changed its name to Hefei University of Technology, 197 1 moved to Huainan, where there were teachers in coal-related disciplines and some basic courses. After that, it went through the school-running period of Huainan Mining Institute and Huainan Institute of Technology.

5. Xiangtan Mining Institute (Hunan University of Science and Technology was established)

The school was formed by the merger of Xiangtan Institute of Technology and Xiangtan Normal College, the second undergraduate normal university in Hunan Province in 2003. Its school-running history can be traced back to Xiangbei Institute of Architecture, which was founded in 1949.

Xiangtan Institute of Technology was founded in 1978, formerly known as Xiangtan Coal Institute, and is an undergraduate college directly under the former Ministry of Coal Industry. 198 1 renamed Xiangtan Institute of Mining and Technology, 1997 renamed Xiangtan Institute of Technology. During the period of 1998, the system was jointly established by the central and local governments, with Hunan Province as the main management.
