Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, formerly known as Yunnan Finance Cadre School, was founded in 195 1. 1979, set up specialized courses in finance and trade to recruit junior college students; Yunnan Institute of Finance and Trade 198 1 was established and started full-time undergraduate education; 1998 merged with Yunnan Economic Management Cadre College; 1995 was identified as a provincial key university by the Yunnan provincial government; In 2006, it was renamed Yunnan University of Finance and Economics; 20 13 became the authorized unit of doctoral degree, and 20 14 won the first postdoctoral mobile station.

The school runs in Kunming, Yunnan Province, with Longquan Road Campus and Anning Campus, covering an area of 2 133 mu, with 33,022 full-time students.
