Yueyang No.14 Middle School, formerly named Yueyang Changlian Middle School, was founded in July 1969. It is a full-time complete middle school founded by Changling Refinery and Chemical Plant, a former national first-class enterprise, to solve the problem of children's enrollment.

1989 was named as the second affiliated middle school of Hunan Normal University by the Hunan Provincial Education Department. 1992 became one of the first nine key middle schools officially listed in Hunan Province, and became a model ordinary high school in Hunan Province in 2004.

The school has 222 teaching and administrative staff, including 2 special-grade teachers, 2 national backbone teachers, 29 provincial and municipal backbone teachers, municipal academic leaders 1 person, national referees 1 person, 8 national first-class referees, national social sports instructors 1 person, 7 graduate students, 84 senior teachers and 89 first-class teachers. There are 48 people in party member and 6 people from democratic parties.
