Southwest University of Science and Technology is a full-time multi-disciplinary undergraduate college. This school has a history of more than 60 years. The school implements the management system of the central government, Sichuan Province and Mianyang City, with Sichuan Province as the main management. The school is one of the 14 universities in the western region designated by the Ministry of Education.
It is a university jointly established by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and one of the 67 modern distance education universities in Southwest University of Science and Technology. It has the qualification of recommending excellent undergraduate graduates to study for master's degree without examination and the qualification of applying for master's degree by equivalent personnel, and has the qualification of carrying out international education and receiving foreign students. The school has the National University Science Park of Southwest University of Science and Technology approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education.
