Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications has four campuses: Sanpailou, Xianlin, Suojincun and Jiangning. There are 58 undergraduate majors, 19 secondary colleges, 1 teaching department, 1 continuing education college and 1 independent college-Tongda College of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (hereinafter referred to as "NJUPT") is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Post Bureau and Jiangsu Province. It is the first batch of world-class discipline construction universities in China and a high-level university construction university in Jiangsu Province. The school's predecessor was 1942' s "wartime post office cadre training class" founded in Shandong anti-Japanese base area. After the "War Post" school, Shandong University School of Posts and Telecommunications, East China School of Posts and Telecommunications and other stages, it was transformed into an undergraduate university with the approval of the State Council in 1958, and was named Nanjing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, and renamed Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in April 2005. The school was originally a key university directly under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Information Industry.
