Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications has four campuses: Sanpailou, Xianlin, Suojincun and Jiangning. The school's predecessor was 1942' s "wartime post office cadre training class" founded in Shandong anti-Japanese base area. After the "War Post" school, Shandong University School of Posts and Telecommunications, East China School of Posts and Telecommunications and other stages, it was transformed into an undergraduate university with the approval of the State Council in 1958, and was named Nanjing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, and renamed Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in April 2005. The school was originally a key university directly under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Information Industry. As of February, 20021,the school has four campuses, namely Xianlin, Sanpailou, Suojincun and Jiangning, with more than 2,600 faculty members. There are 22 colleges (departments and centers), and there is an independent college in Yangzhou-Tongda College of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. By February of 20021year, there were more than 30,000 students of all kinds.
