Building Structure of Shi Jing University Campus
There are five two-story buildings in Imperial College London, designed by Japanese architect Hideo Shinshui. Two of the main buildings are European classical, brick-wood structure and fair-faced brick wall.

Four of them are north-south and one is east-west. A two-story building with balcony between the two main buildings has been demolished and converted into a residential building. The four existing buildings are all two-story buildings, which are divided into two types. The east-west gray brick buildings are all of the same type, and one of them is a liberal arts building. The other two buildings are of another type, namely the economic building and the science and technology building. This group of buildings was designed in 1907 by Hideo Shinshui, a modern Japanese architect who designed the Japanese Embassy.

The plane size of the liberal arts building is 46 *16m. There are two entrances and exits on the ground floor, at both ends of the facade, and the two stairs are also symmetrically arranged. The building is a gray brick-wood structure. The window hole in the wall is relatively high, with flat windows on the first floor and semicircular arch windows on the second floor. The north and south facades are centered on two central bays, and the left and right bays project outward in groups of three bays. The top of the corner pilaster is a triangular gable top, and three brick semi-circular coupons are decorated on the top of the window lintel on the second floor. A gentle arc arch wall was built outside the lower wall of the central part of the window. Decorated with stacked brick box patterns.

The Science Building has two floors above ground and a brick-wood structure underground, which is relatively large. The south facade is 88.92 meters long and 23.4 meters wide. The total height is 18.65 meters. The whole volume is divided into three parts according to classicism. The bottom of the base is 2.05 meters high and the upper part is about 6.8 meters high. The wall column window partition divides the window into double window groups, and the wooden frame inclined tile roof is at the top. The side walls of the protruding parts at both ends of the south facade are wide wall piers, in which two brick pilasters are used as window partitions, and triangular gables are crowned on the gable walls, and there are round windows with ventilated roofs and brick arches on the gables. The central part with a width of about 15m is the focus of the whole facade, and the corners on both sides are thickened to form a western castle tower. The lower wall is decorated with small arched windows, the upper wall is carved with cross wheels, and the small column towers at the top four corners are sandwiched with arc-shaped moon walls. There is a triangular gable between the two towers, and the gable is covered with a whole semicircular arched window; The lower wall of the window on the second floor is decorated with western-style bottle railings. The facade of the semi-circular arch window is vertically divided into three parts by columns, with a pedestal protruding from the outer wall at the bottom, a tassel-type leaning column standing on it and a complete eaves; The second floor is a square tower drywall column, and baroque scrolls extending from the lower part are connected with the eaves at the bottom. Inside this central protruding part are the lobby on the ground floor and the amphitheatre on the second floor. The main entrances and exits of the building are located on both sides of the central projection, and the steps are made into a quarter circle. On both sides of the gate, there are a pair of short-eaved semicircular arch coupons supported by scroll supports. There are side stairs on the north side of the center of the room, and there are secondary stairs and secondary access doors at the ends of the two gables in the central aisle. The gable roof with protrusions in the middle and at both ends intersects the main roof vertically, and there are small ventilation towers with spires on the roofs at the east and west ends. The exterior wall of the building is mainly gray fair-faced brick wall, with a small amount of stone as decoration, and the stigma and waistline are decorated with red brick feet.
