A series of academic activities in 2009 (No.24) was held in Room 705, Building/KLOC-0, our college. This academic activity was presided over by Director Xiao Liye. Academician Wu Yueliang, director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Cui Xiang from North China Electric Power University were invited to the Institute for academic exchanges and gave wonderful academic reports to the teachers and students of the Institute.

Professor Cui Xiang gave a report entitled "Research Progress and Prospect of Key Electromagnetic Problems in UHV Power Transmission and Transformation Technology". Professor Cui gave a detailed explanation on the development, electromagnetic environment problems and electromagnetic compatibility. Professor Cui's report is closely related to the existing research direction of our hospital, and all the people present said that they had gained a lot. Finally, Professor Cui introduced that there are new development opportunities in the original electrical engineering discipline, and hoped that researchers in the Institute of Electrical Engineering could seize the opportunity, actively participate in actions, exchange and cooperate with each other, and make contributions to China's independent innovation and personnel training.
