Beijing Information Science and Technology University was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Mechanical Industry, which was affiliated to the former Ministry of Machinery, and Beijing Institute of Information Engineering, which was affiliated to the former Ministry of Electronics. It is a university supported by Beijing with the coordinated development of engineering, management, science, economics, literature and law.
The school is an excellent engineer education and training program of the Ministry of Education, a pilot university for comprehensive professional reform of the Ministry of Education, and the first batch of national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice bases.
