There are about 6 universities in Baise, Guangxi, including 3 in urban areas and 3 in Pingguo, a county-level city. In a county-level city, the number of universities accounts for half of the whole prefecture-level city. In this way, Pingguo is not a simple county-level city.

The three universities in Pingguo are Guangxi Preschool Education College, Guangxi Engineering Vocational College and Guangxi Peixian International Vocational College. They are all junior colleges, all together, located in the southeast of Pingguo City (Pingguo University Town).

Guangxi college for preschool education is a public university, which is the only independent preschool teachers' college in Guangxi. There are three campuses in No.1 Middle School, Pingguo Campus is one of them, as well as Nanning Campus and Wuming Campus.
