First, China has been tackling key scientific research problems for decades. Among dozens of industrial categories, which belong to China's national industries or can be called their own industries? What scientific research projects are among the best in the world? What does China need now? I often go abroad, and my soul is baptized every time I go abroad. I can't wait to go to primary and secondary schools to talk the next day. Why? I just feel the urgent pressure and shame, especially when I went to Japan and South Korea, which belong to the East, and I felt even deeper after I went there.

The following four aspects have been blown the most in the past five years. Let's talk about superconductivity first, and it also started with Americans. I am a professor and teacher at Zhejiang University. The truth-seeking of Zhejiang University is priceless. At present, intellectuals in China have a weakness, that is, they don't like others to talk about their shortcomings, and they are even more unwilling to talk about their shortcomings. Today I am willing to expose my shortcomings. I should tell the truth when facing industrialists.

A lot of science and technology in China today is "tracking", which is also very difficult for professors in China, because life is hard, there is no money, and many leading comrades have no knowledge themselves. In order to get leaders and let them allocate some money, they must write some articles, reports and slogans as high as possible. For example, the education sector is now called "building a world-class university". Of the 10 colleges and universities set by the cross-century development plan of the Ministry of Education, 9 have been selected, and 10 has not yet been selected. In China, a developing country, you can build 10 world-class universities. How many universities are there in America? How many in Japan? Now the reality is: China can't rank among the top 200 universities in the world! How many can Asia rank? After visiting abroad, I feel that building Zhejiang University into a world-class university is like a capitalist ideal, and we will always work hard! However, we should not pursue such illusory goals and shout such slogans. There is still a big gap between us.

Now, several industries are moving in several directions, which is in line with the goals of China's science and technology industry in previous years. Like nano, it is just a concept of scale. Materials of various scales have their own uses, such as why do you use mud to make bricks? The scale of bricks is much larger than that of sand mud, because small grains of sand have no strength. How can we say that the colorful material world is only one nanometer? Therefore, no one pays attention to who put forward this slogan. In fact, we are trapped by Americans again! This is the same as an arms race. Superconducting Chinese Academy of Sciences is doing it; Gene Shanghai is doing it; Nano is being done all over the country, even the factory technicians are doing it.

Just now, Mr. He Xiuxiu talked about suspended trains. Don't think that China will be modernized just because the high-rise buildings in Shanghai are the same as those in Tokyo and Osaka. It is easy to build houses and bridges, but you have to look at the stage of national quality. People who come out of Japanese buildings are highly educated; And all the buildings in Shanghai are rich and uneducated! How can it be said that the country has been modernized? The World Trade Expo held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province is beautiful, but you can go to Xixi River to see it. If birds and swans can appear in Xixi River, Hangzhou will be modernized. It's not about wearing a skirt. What do we need most? Let's not put on airs with these things! What aspects should our country pay attention to?

These are my suggestions and slogans. It used to be said that "the ignorant are fearless", but now it is said that "the ignorant are fearless". Many enterprises invite people from Zhejiang Technical Supervision Bureau and Science and Technology Commission to have a meal and a drink, and he will sign it for you, and then threaten our professors to go there and stamp it for you, and then "fill the gaps at home and abroad" and "reach the international advanced level", and writing a paper is just that. As a university professor, I am deeply worried about this! This is not our responsibility, but the ignorance of our leaders, who advocate this mainstream.

I know the director or boss here has a hard time, because if you don't write such a report, you won't get the money and the project won't be approved. The same is true for professors, who write reports every day instead of settling down to do research in the laboratory. This is serious! Scientists say that nano is omnipotent and everyone can do it; The boss said: Nano has unlimited business opportunities. If you don't go up, you won't have a chance. So Ningbo should do it, Zhuji should do it, and Tiantai should do it. Everyone can do nano. Scientists know that nano-particles are unstable, and the materials they make gather together, but industrialists don't know this. Some people say that nano is so good that we have all become nano-people, but who can play basketball better? The basket must be put down. Can the role of nano-human be used for the treatment of cerebral thrombosis? You don't need to take medicine, just dig a small hole in your head and let the nano-people get in and clean it up.

I may be the only one who can't say these words well. Nano was badly fired in Zhejiang in the last month or two. I don't understand what "nano-refrigerator can prevent mildew": one is the concept of biology and hygiene, and the other is how nano-materials can prevent mildew. Therefore, it must be noted that an ignorant person can be very difficult to deceive people, because he is courageous and dares to say anything, so he says "ignorance is fearless", and we know that he dares not at all.
