Kunming University of Science and Technology is a university jointly established by Yunnan Provincial People's Government and National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is a national key discipline project implementation university, and a comprehensive provincial key university with work-study combination and multi-disciplinary coordinated development.

Kunming university of science and technology foreign exchange
Kunming University of Science and Technology has continuously strengthened international cooperation and exchanges based on its disciplinary and geographical advantages. At present, the school has signed cooperation agreements with 1 10 universities and scientific research institutions in 36 countries and regions, cooperated with Suvarnabhumi University in Laos to build Confucius Institutes, and cooperated with NEXT Education Group in Denmark to build Confucius classrooms. It is a China-led university in Yunnan-Thailand University Alliance, and has set up three overseas schools in Thailand.
He was selected as the newly-built base of local colleges and universities in the national "Academic Innovation and Intelligence Introduction Program for Colleges and Universities", and the foreign experts of the school won the National International Science and Technology Cooperation Award and the China Municipal Government Friendship Award successively.
