Which major is good at Dalian Maritime University?
Several majors in Exchange College are good, especially from the perspective of employment. Transportation, logistics management and logistics engineering are all good. In fact, in the past, our maritime law was also a part of the old school of management. At that time, the four ace majors of management were "Multinational Forces and Overseas Corps", multimodal transport, international shipping management, maritime law (also known as international maritime affairs), foreign trade transportation and maritime law, and the other three majors evolved into several majors of transportation and logistics. Later, maritime management changed from navigation. The biggest advantage of maritime management is that it is easy to go to the Maritime Safety Administration after graduation, and the Maritime Safety Administration is specialized in this major, and a large number of places are reserved every year, which students of other majors can't take away, hehe. However, if you don't go to the Maritime Safety Administration, other majors in communication will have greater advantages than those in marine management. Shipping companies, shipping agents, freight forwarders and so on are all good destinations. Let's talk about our maritime law, especially maritime law. At present, the Law School of Maritime University has set up a law major (we think it is two majors), which is divided into two directions, maritime law and international economic law. Both majors have high admission scores, especially maritime law, which is the highest among all majors in Haida University. Basically, the highest annual admission score of Shanghai University is maritime law. When I was an undergraduate, several of our classmates were the top students in the college entrance examination in their own counties and cities, and a senior in Grade 98 was the top student in Liaoning Province. Postgraduate, Haida Law School now has a first-class master's degree in law, and can offer any law major to recruit postgraduate students. Now it includes: international law (public international law, private international law, international economic law, maritime-maritime law), civil and commercial law (China civil law and comparative commercial law), environmental resources and protection law, criminal law ... (I don't know about some newly established directions). Doctor, an international doctoral program in law (including many directions) in Haida University, is one of the earliest approved doctoral programs in international law and the first doctoral program in maritime law in China. Last year, the application for doctoral degree in civil and commercial law was not approved, and the next batch should be approved. With the introduction of talents and discipline construction in Haida University, Haida University will finally have a doctoral degree in law (look forward to this day! At present, the doctoral supervisors of Haida Law School are: our old headmaster, Mr. Si Yuzhuo, with a master's degree in maritime law and a doctor's degree in maritime law; Mr. Fu, former dean of Haida Law School and now vice president of Tsinghua Law School, is also in the direction of maritime law; Teacher Prof Shen, former dean of the Law School of the University of International Business and Economics, took the direction of international economic law; Teacher Qin Huang, Vice President of Wuhan University, direction of private international law; Qu Guangqing, former dean of the Law School of Haida University, is now vice-president of a university in the south, majoring in private international law; Mr. Hu, majoring in maritime law, Ph.D. in our school, master of kelp; Mr. Zhai Yunling and Mr. Li Zhiwen are currently vice presidents of Haida Law School; Teacher Han Lixin, Director of Maritime Law Department; Judge Guan Zhengyi, vice president of Dalian Maritime Court (these are doctoral supervisors with many excellent masters, including several deans of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate) Let me talk about the employment of Haida Law School. It should be said that in recent years, the employment situation of law majors in China is generally not good, and the jobs of law graduates from universities such as the National People's Congress and the University of Political Science and Law are not easy to find. However, we students in the law department of Haida University, after all, rely on trees and enjoy the cool air around the "sea". Relying on the shipping industry, the job is relatively easy to find. Most of the students in our class, especially those in maritime law, are engaged in shipping-related work, and there are many shipping companies, shipping agents and freight forwarders. Many students of international economic law work in banks. I have four students in a dormitory and three in a bank. There are not many people engaged in the legal profession, but there are judges, prosecutors and lawyers (the proportion of graduate students engaged in the legal profession is higher than that of undergraduates), and the passing rate of the judicial examination of Haida University is also very high. Nearly half of the one or two hundred people who pass through Dalian in a year are students of Haidafa; Many students have gone abroad. Twenty or thirty students in our class have gone abroad. It is not difficult to apply for going abroad. Haida's signboard is still quite popular there. Let's talk about navigation majors first. The reason why Maritime University is called "Maritime University" is inseparable from the support of maritime majors, including two majors-navigation technology and marine engineering (management direction of marine engineering). These two majors are well-known in China and rank among the best in the world. The century-old history of Haida University originates from these two majors, and the talents of these two majors are also the biggest talents in China shipping industry. The salary after graduation is meaningless. I have a friend who works in OOCL, and their third mate (who can be employed after graduation internship) earns 1800 a month, which is much higher than the average income of onshore occupations.
