National University of Defense Technology offers the following majors:

1, aerospace science and technology: this major trains scientists and engineers in the aerospace field, covering knowledge and skills in aircraft design, aerospace materials, aerodynamics and aircraft control.

2. Armament Science and Technology: This major focuses on training experts and engineers in the fields of weapon system design, weapons and ammunition, and weapon detection technology.

3. Electronic Science and Technology: This major focuses on cultivating talents in the field of electronic information, including electronic circuit design and analysis, electronic equipment and systems, communication principles and applications.

4. Communication Engineering: This major trains professionals in communication system design and operation management, mobile communication, satellite communication and network communication.

5. Control Science and Engineering: This major covers the knowledge and skills of automation control system, robot, navigation and guidance technology.

6. Information security: This major trains experts and engineers in network security, cryptography and information security technology to protect the security of information systems and networks.

National University of Defense Technology/NUDT

The National University of Defense Technology of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, referred to as the National University of Defense Technology for short, is a highland for cultivating high-quality new military talents and independent innovation in national defense science and technology. It is also a national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project" military academy and a national key university. The campus is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province, with first-class teaching and living facilities, providing students with a good learning and living environment.

There are 26 authorized points for master's degree and 23 authorized points for doctor's degree. In the fourth round of the overall level evaluation of national first-level disciplines, the school obtained 8 A-level disciplines, including 4 A+ disciplines, 3 A-level disciplines, 1 A+ disciplines, and1A+disciplines in national universities.
