The Times published the world university rankings for 10 years, which mainly evaluated the scientific research strength of participating institutions. More than 7500 scholars from five continents 15 countries were interviewed, and more than 50 educational authorities participated in the evaluation of the rankings. The ranking of world universities is still based on 13 evaluation indicators, and the total evaluation scores of universities in five categories: scientific research (30%), teaching (30%), number of papers cited (30%), international vision (7.5%) and industrial income (2.5%).

In the world university rankings from 20 13 to 20 14, the overall strength pattern of global education has not changed much, and the United States still dominates. California Institute of Technology topped the list for three consecutive years, with Harvard University and Oxford University tied for second place and Stanford University fourth. In TOP 10, American universities occupy 7 seats; Among the top 200, American universities occupy 77 seats. Britain is close behind, with 3 seats for TOP 10 and 3 1 seat for TOP200. Although far behind the United States, it is still far ahead of other countries. In the top 200, the Netherlands and Germany ranked third and fourth with 12 and 10 respectively.

Seven universities in Australia entered the top 200, but compared with the top eight universities last year, the overall performance declined slightly.

The educational strength in Asia is on the rise. In this year's list, * * * 6 Asian universities entered the top 100, and 5 Japanese universities ranked among the top 200, among which the University of Tokyo ranked 23rd, ranking the Asian hegemon; Four Korean universities entered the top 200, and three Hong Kong universities.
