Nanjing University Medical College, formerly known as Central University Medical College, was founded in 1935. 1949 After liberation, it was renamed Nanjing University Medical College. 195 1 was placed under the military system. 1987 was rebuilt with the approval of the Ministry of Education (formerly the State Education Commission) and became the first seven-year medical college in a comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education. The current Dean of Medical College is an internationally renowned kidney disease expert, an outstanding clinician in China, the vice president of Nanjing General Hospital of Nanjing Military Region, and Professor Liu Zhihong, an academician of China Academy of Engineering. 1 There are three specialties in our hospital: clinical medicine (eight-year program), basic medicine (seven-year program) and stomatology (seven-year program). There are two doctoral programs in clinical medicine and basic medicine, and one master program in stomatology. There are 3 doctoral programs in physiology, internal medicine and surgery, and post-doctoral mobile stations in clinical medicine, of which general surgery is two national key disciplines. Nanda Medical College is the only medical college in Chinese mainland that only offers master's and doctoral programs, but does not offer undergraduate courses. At present, the Medical College has three affiliated tertiary hospitals, namely Gulou Hospital affiliated to Nanjing University Medical College, Jinling Hospital affiliated to Nanjing University Medical College (nanjing general hospital of nanjing military command) and Stomatological Hospital affiliated to Nanjing University Medical College.
