Taking Nanjing University as an example, the curriculum of acoustics major is as follows:

1, basic course

Physics: college physics series, including mechanics, heat, optics, electromagnetism and atomic physics; Four major mechanics, namely theoretical mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics and statistical physics, and quantum mechanics.

Mathematics: a series of college mathematics, including calculus and linear algebra, probability theory and mathematical physics methods.

2. Specialized compulsory courses

Acoustics foundation, signal and system, digital signal processing, acoustic transducer, acoustic measurement, etc.

3. Specialized elective courses

Fluid mechanics, architectural acoustics, noise control, audio acoustics, calculation methods, etc.

Training objectives

Acoustics major mainly trains senior talents who have a solid and systematic foundation in applied acoustics and information science, master corresponding electronic technology, computer technology and acoustic measurement technology, can meet the needs of high-tech development, economy and education, and engage in scientific research, development and teaching.
