Shanghai International Studies University has 20 teaching colleges (departments): English College, Japanese Institute of Culture and Economics, Oriental College, Russian Department, French Department, German Department, Western Department, International Finance and Trade College, International Business School, Journalism College, Media College [1], Law School, International Education College, International Cultural Exchange College, Advanced Translation College and Graduate School (to be determined). Four directly affiliated teaching departments: Sports Department, Social Science Department, Overseas Personnel Training Department and Overseas Personnel Training Department. The majors and disciplines of Shanghai International Studies University involve five major disciplines: literature, teaching, economics, management and law. Shanghai International Studies University has 36 undergraduate majors, including 24 language majors (involving 20 foreign language courses): English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, Persian, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Swedish, Dutch, Vietnamese, Hebrew and Ukrainian. 12 Non-language majors: international economy and trade, finance, law, international politics, educational technology, English education, journalism, radio and television journalism, advertising, information management and information system, business administration, public relations, accounting. The school has two first-class disciplines, foreign languages and literature and political science, and two disciplines have 12 doctoral degree authorization points; 1 postdoctoral mobile station of foreign languages and literature. There are 7 master's degree authorization points for the first-level disciplines, including foreign languages and literature, political science, applied economics, education, China language and literature, journalism and communication, and business administration, and 30 master's degree authorization points for the two disciplines; Three professional master's degree authorization points: MBA, MTI and MTCSOL.
