Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Sichuan Province. It ranks among the national "double first-class", "21engineering" and "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform" and was selected as the national "2008".
And "11/plan", outstanding legal talents education and training plan, top-notch students training plan of basic discipline 2.0 base, national innovation experiment plan for college students, national innovation and entrepreneurship training plan for college students, national postgraduate plan for building high-level universities, scholarships for overseas students from China government, and national demonstration universities for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform.
It is also the innovation and entrepreneurship base of practical education in national colleges and universities, the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of national education system, the founding member of China-Europe Business School Alliance, and the international risk data analysis alliance of University of California, Berkeley. The school started with Guanghua University founded by 1925 in Shanghai. 1938 Guanghua University moved to Chengdu in the bonfire of the Anti-Japanese War and established Guanghua University Chengdu Branch.
1952 Private Chenghua University was changed to public, and some departments were transferred to form Sichuan University of Finance and Economics; By 1953, the financial departments of universities in Southwest China 17 have gathered. 196 1 merged and renamed Chengdu University. 1978 resumed as Sichuan University of Finance and Economics. 1979 was transferred from the Governor of Sichuan Provincial People's Government to the Governor of China People's Bank. 1985 changed its name to Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
