The first-class discipline of chemical engineering and technology in Tianjin University won the title of "four consecutive titles" in discipline evaluation and "five consecutive titles" in the first prize of national teaching achievements, and "Tianjin Chemical and Chemical Collaborative Innovation Center" became one of the first batch of "201kloc-0/collaborative innovation centers" in China.

In 2009, the chemistry major of Tianjin University passed the "master" international certification, which made it the first university in China to pass the IChemE certification and the only two universities in Asia to pass the "master" certification. In the same year, Tianjin University Binhai Industry Research Institute was established.

2. Tsinghua University;

1998 Tsinghua University department of chemical engineering awarded the first batch of doctoral degrees in chemical engineering and technology, material science and engineering. In 2007, chemical engineering and technology, materials science and engineering were selected as national first-class disciplines and became "double first-class" construction disciplines in Tsinghua University.

3. East China University of Science and Technology;

The discipline of chemical engineering and technology is the first batch of national key disciplines. In 2022, it was selected as the national "first-class discipline training action". The college has the first batch of doctoral and master's degree programs in chemical engineering and chemical engineering, the first batch of postdoctoral mobile stations and the first batch of engineering master's enrollment points.

East China University of Science and Technology, formerly known as East China Institute of Chemical Technology, was founded in 1952 by the Department of Chemical Engineering of Jiaotong University, Aurora University, Datong University, Soochow University and Jiangnan University. In 1956, it was designated as one of the first schools in China to recruit graduate students. 1960 was identified as a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and 1993 was renamed East China University of Science and Technology; 1996 became the national "2 1 1 project" key construction university.
