From primary school to university, we have to study for more than ten years. What's the point?
I used to think it was learning knowledge. In the last two years, I realized that learning self-discipline is more important.
If you learn self-discipline, you can guide and educate yourself. If you want to learn something, buy a book and find some information, you can certainly learn it.
There are infinite possibilities for such a life.
Many people are confused, anxious and chaotic, not because they are not smart, not because they are incompetent, not because they lack opportunities, but because they are not self-disciplined.
Self-discipline is prominent, and laziness comes out.
2. Cultivate core competitiveness
Do you want to join a club when you go to college? Do you want to run for the class committee? Do you want to participate in various competitions? The answer is: yes.
I can do addition in my freshman year. I will try to participate as much as possible, but after Grade Two, I will do subtraction. If I can return it, I will.
Doing addition means trying more, learning more, and finding what you are good at and like.
Doing subtraction is to focus on improving one of your abilities and doing the most cost-effective thing, because your time is the scarcest.
What ability should be cultivated?
The first principle is to do what you like and are good at. You like writing, chatting, speaking, drawing and designing.
The second principle is to do something that is sustainable, transferable and can generate compound interest.
Step 3 read and write
My biggest regret when I went to college was that I didn't read many books. Therefore, the personality is not perfect and the outlook on life is unstable, which leads to a long-term bad life.
Reading is the most convenient and cost-effective way to shape the three views.
Seeing the world, you have to spend money to travel; If you meet a cow, the cow may not want to see you.
And reading can break through the limitation of time and space and let you see a bigger world; Reading is also a dialogue with cattle people and making friends with great people; This value is simply too high.
If you insist on reading three or four hundred books for four years in college, your cognitive width and depth will jump sharply, surpassing most people.
