What do college counselors do?
College counselors can work all their lives.

The sense of achievement in this profession mainly comes from the feelings with students. As long as the students have no accidents, the work pressure is not great, and the working environment is relatively simple, it is easier to deal with school teachers or communicate with students.

What do college counselors do when they are old?

1. Continue to be a counselor. The importance of the team of counselors to ideological and political education, student management, mental health, employment and entrepreneurship in colleges and universities is self-evident, and to stabilize this team, we must consider their career development.

It is faster to start work, and the "double line" of job ranks and titles has been pushed to the ground, and some associate division-level counselors (ranks) or associate professor-level counselors (titles) have appeared. Although there are still a few counselors who have solved the problem of deputy division level or associate professor, they should always give them hope.

2. Transfer to other administrative personnel. Compared with the few associate-division-level counselors and associate-professor-level counselors, most counselors can solve the problem of being a secretary of the Youth League Committee (director of the Student Affairs Office, leader of the Student Affairs Office, secretary of the Party Committee, organizer) and a lecturer, and so on. If you want to continue to develop, more people will choose to switch to other administrative personnel. For example, most of them will be directors of college offices, and some will be transferred to institutions, such as organization department, propaganda department, student affairs office, school youth league Committee, and academic affairs office. Especially in the case that some government agencies don't leave people for many years, they often transfer personnel from college counselors to supplement personnel.

3. Become a professional teacher. Most counselors graduated with a master's degree when they stayed in school, while most professional teachers in colleges and universities started with doctors. Therefore, some counselors will soon take the doctor's exam, and after a few years of doctoral graduation, they will enter the professional teacher sequence through certain "ways". This process is full of uncertainty, and the quantity is the least.
