Northeast Normal University, referred to as Northeast Normal University for short, is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and established by the Jilin Provincial People's Government. It is a world-class discipline construction university and a national key construction university of "2 1 1 Engineering" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform".
Selected into the national "11/plan", "national training plan", excellent teacher training plan, national postgraduate plan for building high-level universities, the State Council overseas Chinese education base, foreign aid education base of the Ministry of Education, national college students' cultural quality education base, national college students' innovation experiment plan and national college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training plan.
It is a pilot university of the national free normal school students and excellent teachers training program, a university of the Ministry of Education's "Aid Xinjiang Discipline Construction Plan", a university hosted by the China-ASEAN Education and Training Center, and a scholarship receiving institution of the China government for international students in China. ?
Northeast Normal University was founded in 1946, formerly known as Northeastern University. It is the first comprehensive university founded by China * * * Production Party in Northeast China. 1950 was renamed northeast normal university according to the needs of national education development. From 65438 to 0953, the school began to recruit and train graduate students. 1958 was placed under the management of Jilin Province and renamed as Jilin Normal University. 1980 was re-assigned to the Ministry of Education and renamed Northeast Normal University.
