Danzhou Campus is the original general campus of South China University of Tropical Agriculture, located in Danzhou City, which is known as the hometown of poetry and the ocean of songs in the west of Hainan. The mascot of the campus is Cocoa, designed by several students and loved by teachers and students. At the beginning of 20 12, the Danzhou Campus of Hainan University successfully relocated six colleges to Haidian Campus, namely: Agricultural College, School of Environment and Plant Protection, School of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, School of Management, School of Food and Products, and School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Chengxi Campus is one of the secondary colleges under Hainan University. Undergraduate and postgraduate education resources are abundant, and the main task is to cultivate applied senior talents. It is the earliest college in Hainan Province to explore applied undergraduate education. At present, the college has seven applied undergraduate majors. The College has established the guiding ideology of "giving full play to advantages, highlighting characteristics and taking quality as the foundation", adhered to the school-running policy of "serving the society as the purpose, taking the social demand as the guide, and taking the road of combining Industry-University-Research", and actively explored the training mode of applied talents by drawing lessons from advanced school-running concepts and experiences at home and abroad.
