The seven 985 universities are China Ocean University, Minzu University of China, South China University of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Northeastern University, Hunan University and East China Normal University.

Northeastern University:

Northeastern University is the first batch of 985 universities. Founded in 1923, it has experienced many integrations in history, such as moving in, splitting and merging. At present, Northeastern University was reorganized on the basis of Northeastern University1March, 1949, which was divided into Engineering College of Northeastern University and Science College of Northeastern University. 1997, the former Shenyang Gold Institute was merged into Northeastern University.

Hunan University:

Hunan University is a national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of National Defense and Hunan Province. The school was restructured in 1903, which was one of the national institutions of the Republic of China 15 at that time. The engineering of Hunan University is monopolized, especially in the field of civil engineering, which is as famous as Tsinghua and Tongji, and is known as the "architectural troika".

South China University of Technology:

South China University of Technology, formerly known as South China University of Technology, was established on the basis of the engineering departments and majors of Sun Yat-sen University, South China United University Institute of Technology, Lingnan University Institute of Technology and Guangdong Institute of Technology, and was transferred to some engineering departments and majors of Hunan University, Zhonghua University in Wuchang, Nanchang University and Guangxi University.

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China:

The school is strong in measurement and control technology and instruments, computer science and technology, information display and photoelectric technology, network engineering, electromagnetic field and wireless technology, mathematics and applied mathematics, software engineering, new energy materials and devices.

Central University for Nationalities:

The predecessor of Minzu University of China is the Institute for Nationalities founded by China Producers' Party in Yan 'an in September 194 1. 1951June, the Central University for Nationalities was formally established in Beijing, with Ulanhu as the first president. The school changed its name from 65438 to 0993, and in 2004 it became the second batch of 985 college members.

East China Normal University:

East China Normal University was founded in 195 1. Based on Daxia University (1924) and Guanghua University (1925), it was transferred to some departments of universities such as St. John's University, Fudan University, Tongji University and Zhejiang University, and was founded on the original site of Daxia University. The school is the second batch of 985 members.

China Ocean University:

China Ocean University, located in Qingdao, Shandong Province, was founded on the basis of the departments of oceanography, fisheries, geology and biology left by Shandong University. The school has been renamed since 2002. The school is the second batch of 985 members.
