The catalogue of CSSCI source periodicals is evaluated by China Social Science Research and Evaluation Center of Nanjing University every two years. It is one of the core journals in China, which means "Citation Index of Chinese Social Sciences" in Chinese, and is often called "the core journal of Nantah" by scholars in various academic circles.

When we are studying in the university campus, we often hear the words "publish papers" and "publish periodicals", which many students are puzzled by. In fact, graduate students should be familiar with this issue, because publishing papers and periodicals is almost a necessary skill for every graduate student in China. Among all the papers and periodicals, there are provincial periodicals and national periodicals. All journals also have core journals. CSSCI is one of the core journals. First of all, it is not so simple to publish a CSSCI core journal. Many university teachers have never published a paper in their lifetime, but for us students, it takes more efforts to publish such a paper.
