The equivalent academic ability here refers to the equivalent academic ability of undergraduate graduates. Candidates with equivalent academic qualifications refer to those who have obtained the diploma of higher vocational colleges recognized by the state for two years or more (from graduation to September 1 day of the year of admission, the same below) and those who have obtained the diploma recognized by the state.

Second, the conditions for candidates with the same academic qualifications to apply for the exam

When applying for colleges and universities, candidates with the same academic qualifications generally have little or no restrictions, such as Beijing Jianzhu University and Southwest Petroleum University. When applying for a prestigious school, the restrictive conditions for candidates with the same academic qualifications are relatively strict, which are mainly summarized as the following four:

First, the requirements of advanced courses.

Candidates with the same academic qualifications need to study six or more undergraduate main courses (some institutions require eight or more courses) that are the same or similar to the majors they apply for, and can provide proof of study and transcripts. Tsinghua University requires candidates with the same academic qualifications to minor in all the main courses of the undergraduate major; Beihang University requires that candidates with the same academic qualifications must minor in all the main courses of the undergraduate major in full-time colleges and universities (the official seal of the academic affairs office of the minor school is required).

Second, English proficiency requirements.

CET-4 and CET-6 are the basic thresholds, and high scores have advantages. For example, Nankai University requires that candidates with the same academic level must obtain a certificate of passing the National College English Test Band 4 or a score of 425 or above in the National College English Test Band 4. Xiamen University requires candidates with the same academic level to provide relevant English proficiency certificates such as CET, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and PETS.

Third, the requirements for academic papers or scientific research achievements.

Academic papers have been published in public journals and won level prizes. Peking University requires that candidates who apply for our school with the same academic level must publish 1 or more academic papers (top 2 signatures) related to the major they apply for in the national core journals; Shandong University requires that candidates with the same academic level must have undertaken scientific research projects at or above the provincial level (top three) or published two or more academic papers related to their major with the first author in the academic journal CN (excluding supplements).

Fourth, other requirements.

For example, according to the requirements of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Zhejiang University, candidates with the same academic level are not allowed to apply for cross-majors.

Third, the requirements for the re-examination and re-examination of candidates with the same academic qualifications

Candidates who participate in the re-examination with the same academic ability must try at least two professional undergraduate courses related to their major. The additional test subjects shall not be the same as the initial test subjects. The additional test method is written test. Candidates with the same academic qualifications who apply for Master of Laws (Illegal Studies), Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Engineering Management or Master of Tourism Management may not take the exam. For example, Southwest Jiaotong University requires that candidates with equivalent academic qualifications must try at least two major undergraduate courses related to their major during the second interview; Hunan University requires that candidates with the same academic level should take at least two major undergraduate courses related to the major they are applying for; Northeastern University requires that candidates with the same academic level who take the re-examination must try at least two major undergraduate courses related to their major.
