How does Fuxian Lake shake the world?
Thousands of years ago, people lived and multiplied around Fuxian Lake. Constant crustal movement and geological changes have changed the ocean here, and the landform of that year has been beyond recognition. The research results of geologists and seismologists show that the southeast edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is a serious distribution area of geological disasters such as earthquakes and landslides, which is called Xiaojiang fault zone. It has a total length of 400 kilometers in Yunnan and is distributed in the north-south direction. Fuxian Lake, located in Xiaojiang fault zone, has become a plateau fault dissolution lake. As early as the Neolithic Age, human beings left traces of life in Fuxian Lake area. The piles of snail shells found here are food left by ancient ancestors more than 3000 years ago. But it's not just these that are buried by the years. ...

On the west side of Fuxian Lake, there is an ordinary hill, which the locals call Lijiashan. There is a squadron of guards stationed here, patrolling the mountains day and night. What are they guarding? Originally, according to legend, it used to be an ancient battlefield, with tombs and wild animals on the mountains. Later, with the excavation of a large number of bronzes, this hill became a treasure house in people's minds and was protected by special personnel.

Yang Zhongde, deputy director of the Jiangchuan County Cultural Relics Management Office, said that in the 1960s, local farmers accidentally discovered buried bronzes while farming, and then handed them over to the supply and marketing cooperatives, which in turn handed them over to the cultural relics acquisition station. After seeing the real thing at the acquisition station, the relevant experts confirmed that it was a precious bronze ware, and after asking around, they learned the unearthed place. After consulting the superior, a systematic excavation was carried out in Lijiashan, and a large number of exquisite bronzes were unearthed, including the famous case of Niuhu Copper.

These bronzes were unearthed in ancient tombs from the end of the Warring States to the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty and were identified as representatives of ancient Dian culture. Many bronze drums were unearthed in the tombs, and the patterns on the bronze drums vividly recorded its usage and playing skills. The bronze drum is a symbol of power and wealth. When the war breaks out, as long as you hear the call of the bronze drum, all people with fighting capacity will go to the battlefield and fight to the end. During the two archaeological excavations 1972 and 199 1, more than 5,000 bronzes were unearthed in Lijiashan. Unearthed cultural relics prove that ancient Yunnan people have mastered the proportion of alloys and can manufacture all kinds of bronzes with good quality. The figures and scenes on these bronzes vividly reflect the life picture and social outlook of that year. One of the most representative cases is the case of Niuhu Copper. 1999 toured the United States as a national treasure, and the insurance amount alone was as high as10 million US dollars.

There is another strange thing around Fuxian Lake: whenever there is thunder and lightning, Li Jiashan is bound to be struck by lightning. The roof tiles of the security duty room on the mountain were all shattered by lightning. After many lightning strikes, people had to invite experts to conduct field investigations. Through the analysis of experts, people suddenly realized that there were a lot of metal substances buried under Lijiashan, which led to lightning falling from the air. Are there any ancient tombs in Lijiashan that have not been excavated?

During two archaeological excavations in Lijiashan, * * * found 86 tombs, four of which were restored. 1994 survey shows that there are more than 200 graves under Lijiashan! There are so many graves, the amount of metal buried in them must be amazing. Maybe one day, when all the graves are dug, there will be no more lightning strikes in Lijiashan.

In Fuxian Lake, another miracle that shocked the world appeared. It is here that strong evidence of the "CAMBRIAN life explosion" was found.

The evolution of life on earth has always been a secret that geologists and paleontologists have been exploring unremittingly. 600 million years ago, this was the beginning of the so-called CAMBRIAN in geology. Most invertebrates have appeared one after another in just a few million years, but no animal fossils have been found in strata older than CAMBRIAN, as if life broke out with amazing power in an instant, so paleontologists called it "CAMBRIAN life explosion".

Hou Xianguang, a researcher at Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has long set his sights on Maotian Mountain on the northeast coast of Fuxian Lake. On July 1984, he finally witnessed the long-awaited miracle.

1 At three o'clock in the afternoon in July, Hou Xianguang knocked it down with a hammer, and a lifelike paleontological fossil appeared. At that time, the stone was still wet with underground water vapor. Hou Xianguang stared at the fossils in his hand, feeling that the world was frozen at this moment, and his hand holding the fossils trembled with excitement ... Then he discovered a large number of marine paleontological fossils, which together presented a complete "Chengjiang Fauna", reappearing the original appearance of the marine life world 530 million years ago, becoming a direct proof of the sudden emergence of a large number of life forms in Cambrian, and cracking a life evolution process that has been difficult to explain by Darwin's theory of evolution. No wonder Hou Xianguang was ecstatic! The world was shocked, and Maotian Mountain was called "the Holy Land of Paleontology" from now on.

Today, when people find a peach jellyfish that they have never seen before from Fuxian Lake, the first thing that comes to mind is the jellyfish-like mollusk fossils found in Maotian Mountain that year. Is there a necessary connection between them? Is the peach blossom jellyfish a descendant of ancient life left in the lake?

Professor Hou Xianguang, who now teaches at Yunnan University, told People magazine that the Chengjiang fauna discovered in Fuxian Lake are all marine creatures that lived 500 million years ago, and the jellyfish-like fossils are like jellyfish, but they are not jellyfish. Today, the peach jellyfish in the lake are creatures living in fresh water, so there is actually no kinship between them. ...
