What is an applied university?
Compared with ordinary undergraduate courses, application-oriented undergraduate courses will be more practical in the future. The purpose is to cultivate talents suitable for the needs of enterprises. Traditional ordinary undergraduates will learn many basic courses and pay more attention to theoretical study.

In March of 20 14, the reform direction of the Ministry of Education has been made clear: among the 200 ordinary undergraduate colleges in China/kloc-0, more than 600 will be gradually transformed into applied technology colleges, and the transformed undergraduate colleges just account for 50% of the total number of colleges and universities. Of course, the above is the official statement. In fact, I think the applied undergraduate course actually corresponds to the current professional master's degree.

In the future, it is likely that a large proportion of applied undergraduate students will graduate to master's degree. But now it has been many years since the professional master's degree came out. There is no obvious gap between employment and examination. However, professional masters usually have more internship opportunities and more contact opportunities with enterprises. And academic masters generally have to undertake certain academic tasks in schools.

Therefore, there will be more internship opportunities for applied undergraduate and ordinary undergraduate. The curriculum will be more grounded. But don't think too well, most public courses are definitely the same as ordinary undergraduate courses.

Finally, the application-oriented undergraduate course is summarized as follows: 1. The level of undergraduate and undergraduate is the same; 2. There is generally no obvious difference in scores; 3. The curriculum is slightly different; 4. Many internship opportunities; 5. It is more suitable for direct employment, or study for a master's degree in the future. Of course, even if you apply for an academic master's degree, you will not be restricted. 6. I guess that in the future, professional masters will give more proportion to applied undergraduates and academic masters will give more proportion to ordinary undergraduates in the proportion of insurance research. 7. Overall, there is little difference. But the professional name may change. However, I hope that the professional name will not be changed, and (applied) will be added later, which will have the least impact on students. 8. After all, if the professional name is changed, the compilation of public examinations may be affected in the future.
