A few days ago, Tangshan University for the Aged hired Mr. Han Xi, a famous musician and composer in our city, to hold a special lecture on music appreciation of the symphony suite "Tangshan, Phoenix reborn from the fire" with the theme of "Zhongnanhai playing an ode to Tangshan's earthquake-resistant spirit". More than 400 students from Tangshan University for the Aged and music lovers in the society attended the lecture.

The symphony suite "Tangshan, Phoenix reborn from the fire" was specially performed in Huairentang, Zhongnanhai on July 28th, 1986, to commemorate the anniversary of Tangshan Earthquake 10, and was broadcast live to the whole country by CCTV. At the beginning of this music appreciation lecture, Mr. Han Xi was invited to introduce the creative background, creative process and the grand occasion of the special performance in Huairentang, Zhongnanhai. Then everyone watched the live video of the performance. During the viewing process, Teacher Han Xixi gave a detailed explanation of the theme, ideological connotation and expression techniques of each part of the suite. Finally, Mr. Han Xi answered the questions raised by students and music lovers seriously.

This special lecture on music appreciation has improved the artistic level of elderly college students and music lovers and sublimated their spiritual realm. Students are even more moved and encouraged by the anti-seismic spirit of "sacrificing personal interests, suffering, perseverance and going forward", and everyone has expressed their willingness to make positive contributions to Tangshan, a phoenix reborn from the ashes.
