Hebei Calling University of Science and Technology, referred to as "Hebei University of Science and Technology", is a full-time undergraduate college focusing on engineering. It is a pilot school for undergraduate vocational education established by the state in the new period and is affiliated to the people's government of Hebei Province. The school is located in Xingtai City, Hebei Province, a provincial historical and cultural city, a national garden city, a node city of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, an advanced manufacturing base and logistics hub in south-central Hebei Province. It is the hometown of Guo Shoujing, an ancient capital of the Five Dynasties and a scientist of the Yuan Dynasty, with profound cultural background, beautiful environment, convenient transportation and developed information.

The school, formerly known as Xingtai Agricultural Machinery School, was founded in 1979 and belongs to the Ministry of Agricultural Machinery. 1982 was renamed Xingtai Machinery Industry School of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, and 1983 was renamed China Military Industry School of the People's Liberation Army, which was under the General Logistics Department of China People's Liberation Army. 199 1 With the approval of the former State Education Commission, Xingtai Higher Vocational and Technical School was established on the basis of the military school to carry out the pilot reform of higher vocational education; 1994, the school was renamed China People's Liberation Army Military Industry Institute. 1997 The Ministry of Education approved the school to be renamed Xingtai Vocational and Technical College, with the specification of "Vocational and Technical College". In the same year, with the approval of the General Logistics Department, the school was renamed China People's Liberation Army Military Industry Institute. In 2002, the school was transferred to Hebei Province by the General Logistics Department and became a provincial university. In 20021year, the Ministry of Education approved Xingtai Vocational and Technical College as the main school and merged with the Science and Technology College of North China Electric Power University to establish Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Science and Technology Engineering.
