1883, 17-year-old Sun Yat-sen returned from Honolulu and went to Hong Kong to study in the same year. Sun Yat-sen studied medicine in Hong Kong for five years and graduated from Hong Kong College of Western Medicine.

1887 The Hong Kong College of Western Medicine was merged with the Hong Kong Government College of Science and Technology. 19 1 1 was formally established on Hong Kong Island. Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the founding father of the Republic of China, is the first graduate of Hong Kong College of Western Medicine.
