1. Education qualification: Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is a national key university with Chinese medicine as the main subject, which is directly managed by the Ministry of Education and jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Wellness Commission, state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Beijing. Beijing University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 1956, formerly known as Beijing College of Chinese Medicine, and is the earliest institution of higher learning of Chinese medicine approved by the State Council. 1960 was identified as a national key university by the central government; 1993, renamed Beijing University of Chinese Medicine; /kloc-0 was selected as the "2 1 1 project" national key construction university in 1996; In 2000, it merged with Beijing College of Acupuncture and Orthopaedics to form a new Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. 20 1 1 was selected as the national "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform" to build universities; 20 17 Chinese medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine and Chinese pharmacy were selected into the national "double-first-class" construction discipline list; 20 18 became the chairman of the new teaching steering Committee of traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education. In 2020, it was awarded the "National Civilized Campus". The school has three campuses, namely Liangxiang Campus, Heping Street Campus and Wangjing Campus.

Characteristics of running a school: The school has four affiliated hospitals directly under Beijing and TCM clinics, namely Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Dongfang Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Third Affiliated Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Fangshan Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. In recent years, the school has followed the guiding ideology of "guiding the focus of medical and health work to move down and resources to sink", explored a new mode of cooperation between schools and localities, and supported affiliated hospitals to build high-quality regional service platforms for traditional Chinese medicine in local areas. In addition, there are 19 clinical teaching bases such as China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Guang 'anmen Hospital, Xiyuan Hospital, Wangjing Hospital and Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which undertake clinical teaching, probation and internship for all students. There are 17 national key clinical specialties and 44 state administration of traditional chinese medicine key clinical specialties. At present, there are 6 traditional Chinese medicine master inheritance studios, 3 national famous and old traditional Chinese medicine inheritance studios, 2 national traditional Chinese medicine academic schools inheritance studios, 43 national famous and old traditional Chinese medicine experts inheritance studios, and 44 "3+3 projects" of Beijing traditional Chinese medicine with two rooms and one station.
