Shanxi Medical University is the third batch in China, the first batch of authorized units for doctor's degree in Shanxi Province, the first batch of authorized units for master's degree in China, the first batch of authorized units for bachelor's degree in China, the first batch of pilot units of the "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, one of the 25 medical colleges that offer seven-year clinical medicine specialty in China, one of the first eight medical colleges that restore pediatric undergraduate specialty in China, and one of the key universities supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of China.
The school, formerly known as Shanxi Medical College, was founded in August of 19 19. 192 1 August, changed to Shanxi Medical College. /kloc-0 changed its name to Shanxi medical college in August, 928. 1932 1 month, and was established as a private Shanxi Chuanzhi Medical College. 1940 was merged into Shanxi University in March, and it was called Medical Department of Shanxi University. 1August, 946, upgraded to the National Medical Hall of Shanxi University. 1September 1953, the school was established independently and renamed Shanxi Medical College. /kloc-0 changed its name to Shanxi medical university in September, 1996.
