Article 2 These Detailed Rules are applicable to the management of undergraduate students who study in our school and receive full-time general higher education in accordance with state regulations.
Article 3 Students should generally complete their studies in their major. Under any of the following circumstances, you can apply for changing your major:
(a) students do have expertise, and there are achievements, certificates and other materials that can fully explain their expertise;
(two) individual students found to have a certain disease or physical defect after admission, which was proved by the medical unit designated by the school that they could not study in the original major;
(three) due to some special difficulties, can not continue to study without changing majors;
(4) Schools can appropriately adjust the majors of some students according to the social demand for talents.
Article 4 A student who changes majors shall meet the following conditions:
(1) Full-time freshmen;
(two) according to the requirements of the training program, all required courses are qualified;
(3) Grade majors with compulsory course scores in the top 30% (the ranking requirements of national construction priorities and urgently needed majors can be appropriately reduced);
(four) the college entrance examination admission score is generally not less than the lowest comparable score in the year of major transfer.
Article 5 Under any of the following circumstances, it is not considered to change majors:
(1) Students who take liberal arts exams in the college entrance examination apply for transfer to a major that only recruits science candidates in the college entrance examination;
(2) Art candidates are not allowed to transfer to non-art majors;
(3) The freshmen have been enrolled for less than one semester;
(four) the second year of undergraduate and above;
(five) the school has clear restrictions on enrollment;
(6) Joint culture, entrusted culture and directional culture;
(seven) students who are dropping out of school or retaining their school status;
(8) Students who should drop out of school;
(9) Without justifiable reasons.
Article 6 In order to ensure the coordinated development of disciplines, the total number of students transferred to major should be controlled, and the proportion of transfer-out or transfer-in should not exceed 3% of the total number of students in this major in principle. For the majors that are in urgent need of the society and have advantages in our school, the proportion can be appropriately increased according to the professional teachers and hardware conditions, but it needs to be discussed and approved by the leading group of college-to-major work and reported to the Academic Affairs Office for approval.
Seventh measures for the implementation of professional transfer
(a) the transfer of professional work must be carried out under the principle of fairness, justice and openness;
(2) Changing majors is arranged by the school in the spring semester of each academic year;
(3) In the ninth week of the spring semester of each academic year, each college shall report the number of students to be transferred to other majors to the academic affairs office of the school according to the number of students in this grade, the requirements for undergraduate talent training and the conditions of teaching resources;
(4) In the tenth week, the Academic Affairs Office will review and summarize the number of places in each college to change majors, report to the principal in charge for approval, and announce the number of places in each major to the students;
(5) The College shall set up a leading group for undergraduate students to change majors, which is composed of leading members of the Party and government and department heads and is responsible for the implementation of the college's change to majors. Each college should formulate detailed rules for the implementation of changing majors, including the conditions, requirements and specific assessment methods for accepting students to change majors, and report them to the Academic Affairs Office for the record and announce them to students. The college should arrange teachers to receive students' consultation;
(6) In the tenth week, students log on to the educational administration website to submit an application for changing majors, and submit relevant supporting materials to their college as required, and will not be accepted after the deadline;
(7) Article 11 The application form for changing majors in the Turnaround College shall be submitted to the Academic Affairs Office after being approved by the vice president of teaching. After being audited by the Academic Affairs Office, it is planned to transfer to the college;
(8) In the twelfth week, according to the detailed rules for the implementation of changing majors, the students applying for changing majors will be comprehensively assessed, and the assessment results will be filled in the Application Form for Changing Majors from Undergraduates in Southwest Jiaotong University. The list of undergraduate to major transfer shall be confirmed by the leading group of undergraduate to major transfer, and the Summary of Undergraduate to Major Transfer Qualification Examination of Southwest Jiaotong University shall be filled in, signed by the vice president of teaching and reported to the Academic Affairs Office.
(9) If a student needs to cancel the application for major change after applying for major change registration, it shall be put forward before taking the college major change examination;
(10) In the thirteenth week, the Academic Affairs Office reviewed and signed the summary of undergraduate qualification examination of Southwest Jiaotong University. After the approval of the principal in charge, the list of students who are allowed to change majors will be published on the educational administration website;
(eleven) from the date of publication of the list of rotation majors in the college, tutors should be arranged to guide the training plan, course identification, make up classes and course selection of students who change majors.
(12) Students who are allowed to change their major will take courses in accordance with the training plan for changing their major and participate in the summer practice of changing their major in the fifteenth week.
Article 8 The training plan, years of study and tuition standard for students changing majors shall be implemented in accordance with changing majors.
Article 9 After changing majors, students who have obtained courses similar to the training plan for changing majors in the original major should submit a course identification form, which will take effect after being signed by the vice president in charge of teaching and approved by the Academic Affairs Office. Other courses can be used as elective courses for changing majors.
Article 10 These Rules shall be implemented after being adopted by the President's office meeting.
Article 11 These Rules shall be interpreted by the Academic Affairs Office authorized by the school.
