Material processing engineering is one of the first-class disciplines of materials science and engineering. It is an applied technical subject that studies the external morphology, internal structure and performance of materials and the control of material processing engineering. Material processing engineering is an engineering technology that transforms raw materials, raw materials (sometimes with various additives, auxiliaries or modified materials) into practical materials or products. At present, domestic academic circles pay more attention to polymer processing. It can be divided into metal material processing engineering and nonmetal material processing engineering.
The major of material processing engineering is to train senior engineering and technical personnel engaged in polymer product molding, design and manufacture of molding equipment and molds, and research and development of new polymer materials.
