Cao Cursor's Personal Life
Founder of Yongxin Group, the world's largest sweater manufacturer.

Cao Cursor's ancestral home is Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province, and he is a fellow villager with Bao Yugang, the "ship owner". 1920, Cao Cursor was born in Shanghai. His father is the owner of a cloth shop named Hongxiang in Shanghai. I want my son to follow in his father's footsteps, so I am very strict with my son. Cao Cursor entered Mingde Primary School at the age of 7 and learned to do business with his father after school every day. When primary school was about to graduate, his father said to him, "Cursor, look after the store after primary school. This ink is enough for small business. " But Cao Cursor insisted on studying, and his mother supported him, but on one condition: he must win the first place in the graduation exam. Cao Cursor lived up to expectations and was admitted to Qiang Ming Middle School with excellent results. After graduating from junior high school, he won the first place again and entered high school. Unexpectedly, when I was a sophomore, my family changed, my mother died, my father fell ill, and the business in the store was sluggish. Liabilities are as high as10.5 million yuan. His father wanted him to go home and take charge of the business in the store, so he had to drop out of school and become a veritable small boss. He was only 17 years old that year.

Cao Cursor seems to be particularly business-minded, and he has been involved in the operation of cloth shops for a short time. It shows business talent. He reformed the business model of the cloth shop, redecorated the facade of Hongxiang, designed novel and unique window, spent money on advertising everywhere, and put music in the shop to attract customers. At the same time, it also pays attention to improving the service awareness and quality of shop assistants. In this way, within a few years, Hongxiang's business has become more and more prosperous, and it can be called "Three Daxiang" together with Shanghai's old-fashioned cloth shops "Baodaxiang" and "Xiedaxiang". Due to good management and rapid development, Hongxiang opened branches in Nanjing, Chongqing, Taipei and Hong Kong a few years later. Young Cao Cursor is not satisfied with developing in Shanghai. China is so big that he is determined to spread "Hongxiang" all over China. He first developed along the Yangtze River and set up branches in Nanjing and Chongqing, and later set up semicolons in Hong Kong and Taipei. At the same time, he also built a woolen mill in Shanghai, and the pure wool produced by Fanliding once sold well all over the country. Cao Cursor's important partner is the Wu Qinglin family in Shaoxing. Wu's father owns a weaving factory with 300 people in Huashe, Shaoxing County, and a printing and dyeing factory in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. After liberation, the Wu family's property was confiscated by the government.

1949, Cao cursor's family moved to Hong Kong. When he first arrived in Hong Kong, Cao Cursor keenly found that Hong Kong, an important town in southern China, had almost no textile industry. He realized that this was an opportunity. 1954, Cao cursor invested in the establishment of Taiping Wool Textile Factory, which was the first wool textile factory in Hong Kong and later developed into Yongxin Enterprise Co., Ltd. Then, we have a branch in Macau. He opened up another new industry in Hong Kong-knitting industry. In the early 1960s, Cao Cursor's factory knitted sweaters, which was a fashionable product at that time, because sweaters used to be hand-knitted. Cao cursor came to Europe with his new products and was welcomed by the European market in pursuit of novelty. Sweater knitting is all the rage, orders are flying like snowflakes, and Cao cursor's career is booming. The 1960s witnessed the rapid expansion of Cao Cursor's career. He successfully launched the budding Shanghai rabbit hair for the mainland in Hong Kong, which made the rabbit hair products sell well. Cao Cursor not only contributed to the motherland, but also strengthened himself. 1964, Cao Cursor and his friends founded Yongxin Enterprise Co., Ltd. In the 1970s and 1980s, land prices and wages in Hong Kong rose rapidly, and Cao Cursor expanded his business overseas in time to reduce costs. Yongxin company has now become the largest sweater manufacturer in the world. He himself is known as "the veteran of the wool spinning industry in Hong Kong" and won the title of "the world wool spinning king". Yongxin company has a business all over the world, with factories in Portugal, Mauritius, the United States, France and Germany and distributors all over the world.

Cao Cursor's enterprise has grown to nearly 10,000 people, with a complete set of production enterprises such as textile, printing and dyeing, knitting, etc. 1987, Yongxin Company successfully went public in Hong Kong, which established its position as the "king of wool spinning" in Hong Kong. Cao Cursor is not satisfied with his success in the textile industry. He has invested in other fields and set up more than 40 institutions in Hong Kong alone, dealing in electronics, computers, precision instruments, trade, tourism and other businesses. With the development of Hong Kong's economy, its position as an Asian shipping center has become increasingly prominent. Hong Kong Airport has become one of the busiest airports in the world, with a plane taking off and landing about every two minutes. Cao cursor has long realized that Hong Kong's aviation industry is a profitable industry. But at that time, the only airline in Hong Kong was British-owned Cathay Pacific, which was protected by the Hong Kong government and it was difficult for others to intervene.

1984 In September, after the publication of the Sino-British Joint Declaration on Hong Kong, Cao Cursor was deeply encouraged. He studied the Joint Declaration carefully and was particularly interested in its provisions on aviation. He realized that after 1997, Hong Kong would keep its original system unchanged for 50 years and its original position unchanged. With the closer relationship with Chinese mainland, it will continue to strengthen its role as a bridge and window for China to open to the outside world. In this way, Hong Kong's links with other countries in the world are getting closer and closer, and its air transport industry has a bright future. Cao cursor's strong pioneering spirit prompted him to make a decision to enter the aviation industry. Coincidentally, when Cao Cursor told Ningbo people, this plan coincided with Bao's idea. So they decided to set up an airline together.

1 April 19851day, Dragonair was formally established. Dragonair broke the history that Hong Kong's aviation industry was monopolized by British consortia. Dragonair encountered great difficulties at the beginning of its establishment. Due to the unreasonable policies of the Hong Kong Government, Dragonair cannot apply for an air transport license for popular routes, and it is losing money almost every month. Cao cursor did not yield. On the one hand, he and Bao Yugang tried to expose and criticize the unreasonable biased policies of the Hong Kong Government. On the one hand, we will broaden our relations with other countries and strive for air routes. At this time, the China Municipal Government extended a friendly hand to Dragonair, clearly expressed its support for the business development of Dragonair, and opened 22 routes between Hong Kong and the Mainland for Dragonair to operate. Through continuous efforts, Dragonair not only has the license to fly to the mainland of China, but also has the license to fly to Thailand, Japan, Malaysia and other international routes, and its business has made progress and got rid of the loss situation.

1989, the Bao family withdrew from Dragonair, and most of its shares were acquired by Cao Shi. The post of general manager of Dragonair is also held by Cao Qiyong, the eldest son of Cao Cursor. Cao cursor has deep feelings for the motherland. As early as the early 1950s, when the United States blocked Chinese mainland, he began to do business with the mainland. At the beginning of China's reform and opening up, 1978 Cao Cursor came to Beijing. He wrote to the central leaders and proposed to invest and set up factories in the mainland in the form of compensation trade. It cooperated with the mainland in the form of compensation trade, and later the coastal areas blossomed everywhere, but no one knew that its originator was Cao Cursor.

After special approval, an agreement was reached with Zhuhai City from 65438 to 0978 to invest HK$ 7.4 million to set up Xiangzhou Wool Mill. At the beginning of the factory, due to unskilled workers and many defective products, serious losses were caused. However, Cao Cursor went forward bravely despite difficulties. He closed the factory for rectification, dismissed some employees with poor performance, changed the system of eating from the same pot, and implemented the wage system of more work and more pay. Therefore, the quality of products has been greatly improved and the output has been rising. The original five-year repayment period was realized in advance in only two and a half years. 1984, Cao cursor signed a new agreement with the city to expand the investment scale and increase the production capacity of the factory by another 50%.

Cao Cursor's success greatly inspired the Hong Kong business community, and the practice of compensation trade was imitated by many people. The processing industry of "three supplements and one supplement" has enabled the coastal provinces of China to accumulate valuable original funds for their later development. Later, more than 30 projects were invested in the mainland, mainly wool spinning, linen spinning and cotton spinning mills. He also established Yongxin Technology Development Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of China to introduce technology to the mainland. In cooperation with China Aviation Technology Import and Export Corporation, Yongxin Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. was established to operate precision machinery such as computers; We also cooperated with Australia to set up Golden Hair Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the trade of many scientific and technological products. Yongxin Group has now become a powerful diversified multinational company. It is estimated that its family fortune is about HK$1100 million. 1985, he initiated the establishment of Dragonair, with Chief Executive Officer and Vice President, thus breaking the long-term exclusive monopoly of British-owned Cathay Pacific Airlines.

From 65438 to 0989, Bao Yugang retired from Dragonair, and Cao Cursor became the chairman, which established his position in the aviation industry in Hong Kong. 1980, Cao cursor returned to his hometown in Zhejiang to invest and set up a factory. At present, dozens of projects have been invested in many provinces and cities in the mainland, involving textiles, printing and dyeing, clothing, chemicals, electricity, electronics, steel, hotels and other industries. 1992, Cao himself was hired as a Hong Kong affairs consultant by the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and the Hong Kong Branch of Xinhua News Agency. Cao Cursor has ten children, five children and five women. Among them, five children have become the main force of Cao Jiajun, playing an important role in the group. Cao Qiyong, the eldest son, graduated from the University of Tokyo and went to the United States for further study. He is now the general manager of Yongxin Enterprise. The eldest daughter, Cao Qizhen, is the head of the group in Macao and a member of the Macao Basic Law Drafting Committee. She was awarded a medal by the President of Portugal. Although the other five children don't work in the group, they have all learned something and settled overseas. Cao Cursor believes that in order to achieve something, we must pay attention to uniting people. He said: unity is strength, and unity can make money.

1April, 1999, with the approval of the International Asteroid Center and the International Asteroid Nomenclature Committee, the No.4566 asteroid discovered by the Purple Mountain Observatory of China Academy of Sciences was named Cao Cursor Star. On the day when the certificate was issued, Lu Yongxiang, president of China Academy of Sciences, Chen Liangyu, then executive vice mayor of Shanghai, and other relevant leaders attended the meeting to congratulate. In July 2002, on the occasion of celebrating the 5th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, the SAR Government awarded Cao Cursor silver bauhinia star in recognition of the great contribution made by this industrialist to the economic prosperity of the motherland and Hong Kong. At present, he is the consultant of the State Council port affairs, chairman of Hong Kong Yongxin Enterprise Co., Ltd., honorary professor and doctor of Zhejiang University.
