The Business School of Yunnan Normal University is an independent college approved by the Ministry of Education and organized by Yunnan Normal University with social investment according to the new mechanism and mode, which belongs to the undergraduate level of general higher education.

In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the Business School of Yunnan Normal University was formally established as a full-time undergraduate college, which was included in the national unified enrollment plan.

The school has eight secondary colleges, namely, School of Engineering and Information, School of Economics and Financial Management, School of Business Administration, School of Accounting, School of Language and Literature, School of Law, School of Art and School of Education, offering specialties such as computer science and technology, electronic information science and technology, digital media art, project cost, financial management, international economy and trade, economics, accounting, business administration, marketing and e-commerce. There are 36 undergraduate majors in business administration, tourism management, logistics management, urban management, urban and rural planning, and 66 professional directions.
