1. According to official website of Hubei University for Nationalities, Hubei University for Nationalities is located in Enshi City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province. It is a provincial general undergraduate college with undergraduate education approved by the Ministry of Education. It is a key construction university in Hubei Province, established by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.
2. 1938 Established Hubei Rural Normal Branch, and later changed to Hubei Seventh Normal School; 1950 changed its name to Enshi Normal School; Enshi Teachers College was established in1978; 1984 Approved by the former State Education Commission, the University of Western Hubei was established on the basis of Enshi Normal University; 1989 was renamed Hubei institute for nationalities; 1998 Hubei University for Nationalities merged with Enshi Medical College to form a new Hubei University for Nationalities; 20 18 was renamed Hubei Institute for Nationalities.
