History of Central South University of Forestry and Technology;
One of the predecessors of Central South University of Forestry and Technology was Hunan Forestry College, which was established in 1958. The other predecessor of the school was the Forestry Department of South China Agricultural College, which can be traced back to Guangdong Public Agricultural College and was established in 19 17. From 65438 to 0963, Hunan Forestry College moved to Guangzhou and merged with the Forestry Department of South China Agricultural College to form Central South Forestry College, which was directly under the management of the Ministry of Forestry. 1970 10, Central South Forestry College and South China Agricultural College merged to form Guangdong Agriculture and Forestry College. 1974, the school moved from Guangzhou to Xupu County, Hunan Province, and was renamed Hunan Forestry College.
1978, restore the name of Central South Forestry College; 1980, the new school site in Zhuzhou was broken; 198 1 year, the school moved to Zhuzhou one after another. In June, 2000, with the approval of Hunan Provincial People's Government, the former Hunan Forestry School and Hunan Forestry Technical School merged into Central South Forestry College, and the main campus of the school moved to the former site of Hunan Forestry College in Changsha, realizing a historic return. In June 2003, the provincial government approved the merger of Hunan Agricultural Machinery Research Institute into Central South Forestry College. From June 5438 to February 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was officially renamed as Central South University of Forestry and Technology. In April 2006, Hunan Economic Management Cadre College merged with Central South University of Forestry and Technology.
