In order to meet the development needs of the western shipping industry, the School of Ship and Shipping Engineering (formerly the School of Navigation) of Chongqing Jiaotong University was formally established on February 8, 2006. At present, the college offers four undergraduate majors: navigation technology, marine engineering (marine engineering management and power equipment design and construction), ship and ocean engineering, and ship electronic and electrical engineering, and recruits full-time undergraduate students for the whole country. At present, there are first-class master's degree programs, which recruit master's students nationwide. Due to the adjustment of the school's professional college, the college was renamed as the School of Ship and Shipping Engineering on 20 15.
