1, National English Test (PETS): PETS is divided into one to five grades. Grade B is equivalent to primary school graduation, grade I is equivalent to junior high school graduation, grade II is equivalent to senior high school graduation, grade III is equivalent to grade IV, grade IV is equivalent to grade VI, and grade V is equivalent to ESP-4. This grading system aims to test the English level of people of different age groups and different learning stages.
2. The newly developed China English Proficiency Scale: The newly developed China English Proficiency Scale divides English into nine grades. Grade one or two corresponds to the primary school level, grade three corresponds to junior high school, grade four corresponds to senior high school, grade five or six corresponds to universities, grade seven corresponds to English majors, and grade eight or nine corresponds to high-end foreign language talents. The scale reflects the English learners' ability level in a more detailed and comprehensive way.
3. College English Test (CET): CET is divided into three levels, four levels and six levels. It is a national teaching test, which aims to objectively and accurately measure the actual English ability of college students. Among them, CET-4 and CET-6 are the most common English proficiency tests.
4. English major examination (TEM): TEM is divided into TEM4 and TEM8. The purpose of the examination is to test the implementation of the national syllabus for English majors. These two levels are high-level examinations for English majors.
