Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, located in the capital Beijing, is a 2 1 1 engineering key university in China and a double-class discipline construction university. The school was founded in 1955, formerly known as Beijing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications. It is the first post and telecommunications institution in People's Republic of China (PRC) and belongs to the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications. 1960 was identified as a national key university by the State Council. 1993, renamed as "Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications".

Xi University of Posts and Telecommunications is located in Xi, the ancient capital of the 13th dynasty in China. Xi 'an has a long history and culture, with famous scenic spots such as Terracotta Warriors and Horses, Wild Goose Pagoda, and 985 famous universities such as Xi Jiaotong University and Northwestern Polytechnical University. The school's predecessor was 1950, which founded the training courses for post and telecommunications personnel in Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, and later xi 'an Post and Telecommunications School. Xi Institute of Posts and Telecommunications was established on 1959 with the approval of the State Council, and it is the only ordinary university of posts and telecommunications in northwest China. On March 20 12, it was renamed as Xi University of Posts and Telecommunications with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Approved by the State Council in 200658, it was transformed into an undergraduate college, named Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and renamed Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in April 2005.
