Adult Education College: Based on the correspondence department and training department of Jiaozuo Mining Institute, it was established in February 1995. Adult Education College has a party and government office, academic affairs office, student affairs office, correspondence department and training department, forming a relatively independent adult education school-running entity.

Henan Polytechnic University: It is a university jointly established by Henan Province and state administration of work safety. Its predecessor was Jiaozuo Road and Mine School, which was founded by British Ford Company in 1909. It is the first mining institution of higher learning in China and the earliest institution of higher learning in Henan Province. Henan Polytechnic University 1995 withdrew the name of Jiaozuo Institute of Technology and changed its name to Henan Polytechnic University in 2004.
