This university is unique among Japanese universities in providing affordable student housing for international students. We have more than 4,000 single-person study dormitories available on campus.

If the rent is overdue for more than three months without reason.

If you let people other than residents stay.

Accommodation regulations

Students who meet the following requirements may need to move out:

All rooms provide free Internet access through wired LAN.
Every room in the apartment is equipped with a telephone except the campus in spring. Telephone calls between houses are free. An outside line can be obtained by signing a contract.

All dormitories provide free internet access.
Except for the dormitory in Chunri campus, all the other dormitories are equipped with telephones. Calls between dormitories are free. External connections can be obtained by contract.

You must sort the garbage according to the regulations of Tsukuba City and dispose of it in the designated garbage bin before 8: 00 a.m. on the specified date. These rules will not change when you move from a university dormitory to a private apartment in the city. Please do your best to keep the environment clean.

Parking?
Students who want to drive to the dormitory must pay parking fees. If you want to get a parking permit, please bring a copy of your student ID card, driver's license, car inspection certificate (shaken shomeisho) and car insurance to the Student Welfare Department on the third floor of the Student Plaza to apply.
If your application is approved, they will give you a parking permit. However, please note that parking may not be allowed in some cases due to limited parking space (for family houses, only one car is allowed per family). As a rule, you are not allowed to commute from your student dormitory to school in your car.
Students without parking permits can't park in the accommodation area.
