There is only one East China Normal University. East China Normal University is a comprehensive research university sponsored by the state, headed by the Ministry of Education, and jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The school was founded in June 195 1 month 1 6, and was transferred to some colleges and departments of universities such as Daxia University (1924) and Guanghua University (1925). 1959 school was identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as one of the national 16 key institutions.
