Neighborhood Literature Society was founded on May 23rd, 1998, and its name was taken from a poem written by Liu Yuxi, a famous poet in the Tang Dynasty: "Neighborhood leaves remind the old night, and the waves before flowing water make the waves after."

Since its establishment, the Neighborhood Literature Society, under the leadership of the Party Committee and Youth League Committee of the College of Literature, has taken the direction of "advocating humanistic spirit and paying attention to students' life", adhered to the road of literature and paid attention to campus dynamics, and undertaken the publishing work of the college journal Neighborhood. Through the publication of newspapers, magazines and other printed publications, timely and accurately reporting news events in colleges and universities, and publishing a large number of high-level literary works in publications, not only enriched the campus life of the majority of students, but also provided a free literary exchange platform for literary lovers.

Fanglin Literature Society also cooperated with other societies and newspapers to carry out various activities, which were well received by the teachers and students of the whole school and had a good influence on the society. Short story monthly, Youth Digest and CCTV all reported the activities of our society and our social organizations.

Time carries memories and feelings, witnessing the wind and frost and harvest, brewing a cup of sweet wine, so that we can taste the joy of harvest in our efforts-pen depicts the world and paper shows life.
